Scripture of the Week
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 NKJV
I want to encourage you that you are loved. The love this verse is talking about is sacrificial love. God sent Jesus, his son, to earth. Jesus was born of a virgin named Mary. Jesus lived a sinless life, taught and healed people, but not everyone accepted what he said and did. Even though he lived a sinless life, he was crucified. This did not stop God though. Three days later, God raised him from the dead!
Why did he do this, because Romans 6:23 NKJV says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” Jesus died on the cross and rose again so you can have a relationship with God. You can start a relationship with God by praying something like this. Praying is talking God. Prayer is more than just talking to God, it is also listening to God. I will share more on that later.
Father God, I thank you for loving me. Thank you for having Jesus pay the price for my sin. I thank you that you raised Jesus from the dead. I confess that I want Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I ask that you fill me with your Holy Spirit. Thank you for doing it. In Jesus name, Amen.
I would encourage you to start reading the Bible and going to a Bible believing church. Have a great day! Jesus Loves You!
